Leadership is key.

This core group at 4thought drives the team, supervises the process and ensures that every campaign and assignment follows the correct client course of action.

Steven Promisloff

Steven Promisloff - Principal

Steven has over 30 years of experience in the integrated marketing, branding and design business where his career began in New York City, then moved through Washington DC, to 4thought in Baltimore in 2003. Steven has worked on complex assignments for Fortune 100 clients in a business-to-business and business-to- consumer capacity since 1976. The focus over that period of time has been on integrating sound marketing with design—integrating the appropriate tactics in a measured manner to best solve business problems, without bias for one tactic over another. Additionally, this core strength in marketing has translated into significant benefits for clients on the digital side of marketing, as evidenced by the advanced approaches and methodologies put in place at 4thought in the application of brands to web environments and other online assets.Steven is a frequent quest lecturer at the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business. When Steven isn't in a pool or swimming across the Chesapeake Bay, he resides in North Potomac, MD, with his wife (of 32 years) and Weimaraner (Arlo) who actually runs the place.

Rob Rhinehart

Rob Rhinehart - Creative & Technical Director

Rob brings over 20 years of industry experience to 4thought. His passions were born out of a cradle modem, and grew over a lifetime of interest in both visual communication and computers. While originally rooted in traditional print design, Rob possesses a unique balance of skills rarely seen in the business that keeps us ahead of the constantly shifting changing digital landscape. His utilization of a wide array of tools and strategies—including his ability to teach and impart this knowledge to the design professionals at 4thought—is a significant benefit to both staff and clients alike. Rob has been an integral part of 4thought's growth and maturity, contributing as a leader on work for clients including National Gallery of Art Sculpture Galleries, the Phillips Collection, Black & Decker, DeWalt, Independence Air, K12, Sesame Street Workshop, Johns Hopkins and many more. Rob has received numerous awards nationally and internationally for his design work. When Rob takes a break from being a visual evangelist, he refreshes his body and soul with long trips to the shooting range. This is a major factor why clients almost never leave 4thought.

Lynn Klunk - Art Director

A graduate of the Maryland Institute of Art, Lynn is a powerful and cerebral thinker that came to 4thought and immediately embraced the firm's process for generating "solutions" from day ONE, simply because it is a natural extension of her own DNA.Lynn's design work consistently demonstrates an uncanny ability to translate written strategies into remarkable and on-point visualizations to complex issues and challenges. This is a talent that escapes many design professionals. It is admirable to be a great designer. It's extraordinary to be a great designer that also answers the "bell" with solutions that clients consistently embrace. Work for 4thought clients include such notable names as K12, The Verizon Foundation, Spiezle Architectural Group, Pierce Atwood, Middlebury Interactive Languages, Presbyterian Senior Living and many more. When Lynn isn't researching her first home ownership options (which has seemingly been going on forever), she resides about 5 minutes from the office with her husband, but actually lives under the tutelage and direction of her intimately close canine companion Derby.
